What Telemundo Offers

4. Switch your TV to antenna mode. In the TV's input or source settings, select TV, Antenna, or Air — not Cable.
5. Run a channel scan. Go to your TV's settings menu and find Auto Channel Scan, Auto Program, or Channel Setup. Start the scan and wait 1–3 minutes for it to complete.
6. Find your local Telemundo affiliate. In most US markets, Telemundo broadcasts on a UHF frequency and appears as a channel in the 40–52 range (for example, 40.1, 44.1, or 48.1). To confirm your market's exact channel, visit telemundo.com/estaciones and search by state.

If the signal is pixelated or drops out, reposition the antenna closer to a window facing the direction of the broadcast towers. Keep it away from metal surfaces and other electronics that can cause interference.

Peacock is NBCUniversal's streaming platform, and because Telemundo is part of the same company, Peacock includes a live Telemundo channel in most US markets — available on its free tier. You do not need a paid subscription to access the live Telemundo feed.

1. Go to peacocktv.com on any web browser, or download the Peacock app from the App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android), Roku Channel Store, Amazon Appstore (Fire TV), or your smart TV's app store.
2. Create a free account. Click Get Free or Sign Up Free and register with your email address. No credit card is needed for the free tier.
3. After signing in, navigate to Channels in the top menu (on the web) or to Live TV in the app navigation bar.
4. Scroll through the channel list to find the Telemundo tile. It shows a live badge and displays whatever is currently airing.

The live Telemundo channel on Peacock is free, though some specific on-demand Telemundo shows may be paywalled behind Peacock Premium ($7.99/month). Troubleshooting Common Streaming Issues

If Telemundo is not playing correctly or you cannot find it on Peacock, these fixes resolve the most common problems.

Telemundo Channel Not Visible on Peacock

Peacock's live local channels, including Telemundo, are only available to users located within the United States. If you are using a VPN, disable it and reload Peacock — the service checks your IP address to determine which local market channels to show you. If you are in the US without a VPN and still cannot see Telemundo, it may mean Peacock does not yet have a distribution agreement for Telemundo in your specific local market. Use the antenna method in that case.

Buffering or Poor Video Quality

• Live TV streaming requires a minimum of 5 Mbps for standard definition and 10 Mbps for HD. Run a speed test at fast.com to check your current speed.
• Connect your streaming device to your router via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi when possible. This eliminates wireless interference and is especially helpful during high-traffic sports broadcasts.
• On Peacock, go to Account → Video Quality and lower the setting from Auto to a fixed lower resolution temporarily.
• Restart your router: unplug the power cable, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and wait 60 seconds for it to reconnect before retrying the stream.

Antenna Signal Is Weak or Pixelated

• Reposition the antenna to the highest point in the room, ideally near a window on the side of the house facing the broadcast towers.
• Run a new channel scan after repositioning to pick up updated signal data.
• If signal strength remains below 50% after repositioning, upgrade to an amplified antenna or an outdoor antenna mounted in the attic.

App Crashing or Not Loading

Force-close the Peacock or Telemundo app completely and reopen it. On iOS, swipe up from the bottom to open the app switcher and swipe the app card away. On Android, go to Recent Apps and close it. If the crash repeats, uninstall the app, restart your device, and reinstall from the app store — this clears any corrupted cache that can cause launch failures after app updates.
